I posted the “Natives are Restless” design release from Kicks/HI a while back, but I figured I’d share a little bit about how I work.
This project started pretty simply. Chris asked me to come up with a “Natives are Restless” design that didn’t overlap or recycle any of the previous designs they’ve done surrounding this theme. These are the rough sketches I sent back…
As you can tell, I thought that the skull idea held the most promise for the project. They felt the same and asked me to develop the idea further.
At this point the artwork was pretty much done…
And here’s the final artwork as it appears on the t shirts.
Working with Kicks is always a good experience…I wish all of my projects went this smoothly!

I just got back from a week in New York visiting friends and connects. Don’t want to bore anyone too much with the details of the trip…but it suffices to say that I needed it. Here’s some of the people, sights and flavors of my nyc…

Headed out to Bay Ridge and ate at Five Guys Burgers…this burger was ridiculous!
Got to take a short ride out to the pier after that burger.
If you look real close you can see the Statue of Liberty next to that “SF” on my friend Bagger’s hat.
RaiRaiKen…again. Like I said, it’s my favorite.
Caracas…if you don’t know about Venezuelan Arepas…you need to try this spot! My friend Razauno hooked up the graphics as well…
